JUne 23, 2020 - City of Medina Historic Preservation Board, Planning Commission and Zoning Board Joint Meeting with the Courthouse Architect
The plans for the Courthouse keep changing. Now they MIGHT keep the 1969 Courthouse, even though on June 2, 2020 Commissioner Hutson stated that the only part of the plan that was definite was that the 1969 Courthouse would be torn down.
The only way the people can control this is to put the Courthouse Initiative on the ballot for the City of Medina. There is a social distancing, drive-thru Thursday evenings 5 to 7 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 pm through July 5th at 231 South Broadway, Medina (across from Garfield Elementary School). Look for the red "Sign Your Courthouse Petition Here" sign at 231 South Broadway and in Medina neighborhoods.

October 3, 2019 - Commissioners Public Meeting for City, Village and Township Officials
Almost 100 people attended the Public Meeting at the Buffalo Creek Retreat. Other than the Medina County Commissioners, the Mayor of Medina and three Medina City Councilman, only 11 City-Village-Township officials came to the meeting! The turnout of elected officials from townships, cities, and villages was disappointing.
The architects spoke, but we did not learn much.
The public was not allowed to speak.

August 8, 2019 - Public Meeting for Certain Community Groups in Rotunda of Medina City Hall
The Medina City Historic Preservation Board, Community Design Committee, Main Street Medina, and Medina County Historical Society were invited and they were the only ones allowed in the well of the Rotunda. However, the Rotunda was full of people who wanted to speak and were denied the chance. Township residents asked to be able to comment on the Courthouse project.
